Today, Intertranscom is Romania’s largest welded mesh manufacturer and one of the country’s leading rebar cut-and-bend operators and construction materials distributors. We are also among the main suppliers of raw steel for the steel processing industry, including the distribution of semi-finished and raw steel products.
Over the past year, we have strengthened our market position and prepared for the challenges ahead. A major milestone was the completion of our new rebar cut-and-bend plant, operational since June 2024—an €10 million investment with a capacity of 5,500 tonnes per month and 70 new jobs, bringing our team to over 500 employees. Equipped with modern technologies, the facility enables us to deliver efficient, project-specific solutions.
The company achieved its leading position thanks to the vision and determination of Mr. Ioan Teslaru, the entrepreneur who founded Intertranscom 30 years ago. Starting as a small distributor of steel products, Intertranscom has transformed, under Mr. Teslaru’s leadership, into Romania’s largest manufacturer of welded mesh, becoming a leading name in the construction metals industry. His perseverance and ambition were essential to the company’s growth, which now operates three modern production facilities and maintains a fleet of trucks to ensure fast and efficient delivery of products directly to customers’ construction sites.
